George hinshaw

HISTORY

George Addison Hinshaw is a former professional baseball player born 1959 in Los Angeles. Hinshaw graduated from Centennial High School in Compton, California and attended University of La Verne, where he was selected by the San Diego Padres in the eleventh round of the 1980 Major League Baseball draft. Hinshaw had 13 appearances in Major League Baseball while a member of the San Diego Padres in 1982–1983 before his second professional season with the 1981 Reno Silver Sox of the High Class A California League. Here he led the league in runs, batted in (131) and hits (189) while he also hit 25 home runs and batted .371 during that year. In 1989 he played for the Chunichi Dragons in Nippon Professional Baseball.

Today, Hinshaw is a coach for Dominguez High School in Compton, California and further serves his community through ESI.
